Bruegala charity announcement

Bruegala 2015 charity press release

From the mahogany (with black maple inlay) desk of the Baron,

My Honorable Bruegalites,
T’is the season to be giving and if you’ll remember, Bruegala is a charity event! We started this
beer and wine festival 15 years ago to raise money for local charities of Mclean County and we
continue the tradition to this day. After much toil and debate, it is our pleasure to announce the
charities that will receive the proceeds of #Bruegala2015 (yes, I did use a hashtag in print and i’m
dying on the inside a little bit).

Our charity benefactors will be: Community Healthcare Clinic, MarcFirst, Wishbone Canine Rescue, Heartland Head Start, Autism Mclean, and Bike BloNo.

The Bloomington-Normal Jaycees started with 18 charity applications and had the rough job of
whittling down the entries via a committee meeting, a board meeting, and then at our General meeting,
where there were 5 rounds of voting by our membership. There were no bad applications in the stack
and all of the decisions were tough to make. We would like to congratulate our 6 charities and look
forward to working with them closely over the next 3 months.

About the glorious spectacle that is Bruegala:
WHO: Bruegala XVI
WHAT: A Charity Beer and wine tasting
